When I say that I can go on and on and on about Darryl, I’m not being dramatic.

I’m a wedding photographer, so I see a lot of dj’s. When I got engaged, I knew a particular DJ stuck out to me - D2. His weddings are ALWAYS the most fun, most organic and most hype receptions.

Being that we are both in the wedding industry,
I knew it put a lot of pressure on him. But, he excelled. Everyone is raving about how it was the most fun reception they’ve ever been to.

I’ve had 6 people (in 1 day) tell me their knees hurt from dancing too much 😂! It was the best day ever and I owe a lot of it to D2. Thank you, thank you!

He personally reached out to me after hurricane Laura letting me know that I didn’t have to worry about my bill for him! He came to my wedding after just getting electricity back on at my venue! As soon as we met in person he felt like a long last friend! He played amazing music! He was a blast to have! Y'all Darryl is just awesome!! He helped us with making our playlists, making sure our First Dance songs (yes we cut/edited 2 together) were played just right and really got the crowd into the dancing all night!! When had a few calls before to ensure that everything was just right. You want a perfect and fun dance party, Darryl is the man!

Darryl was great. He set up a meeting before the wedding to meet us and get to know our style. He was very friendly and did a great job at the wedding. We loved him! He played music that got everyone on the dance floor, and when drunk guests requested something that he knew we wouldn't want, he didn't play it. :) Would definitely recommend!

I would highly recommend Darryl. He did an amazing job at our wedding reception with the music, lights, and photo booth. The music was a perfect flow, and Darryl played the songs from our playlist while doing a great job as MC. My husband and I are big LSU fans, and D2 projected a tiger eye on the wall when playing LSU Pregame. All of our guests had a fun time using the props in the photo booth, and we enjoyed seeing the pictures online. D2 Entertainment will not only meet but exceed your DJ expectations.

Our Wedding was last night in the middle of a Hurricane. Darryl was amazing! he kept in touch with us all day, he gassed up his generator to make sure we would have music. if we didnt have power at the venue would go on. Darryl was so great to work with. Quick with responding with any questions, and was available to meet up anytime. The online system he had made all the music choices and payment options easy and efficient.

Great uplighting at the reception. And we loved the additional perks such as the photobooth and the monogram.

Darryl was absolutely amazing to work with! I could not leave the dance floor the entire night because he made the wedding soooooo much fun! He worked so well with our venue and our photographer to make sure everyone was on the same page and was done perfectly. The online system he uses he so easy and his music selection is very big. There was two songs I couldn't find on his system and he was able to get them for the wedding and they sounded great! Anytime we had any questions, he would always respond so quickly and made sure that we had everything we wanted. My husband was so picky about the music and he was so blown away by all the services Darryl provided.

The photobooth was awesome and everyone absolutely loved it. I love looking through all photos to see how much everyone had fun.

The lighting he used was so pretty and I love the colors he used. The monogram that was on the wall was so pretty.

I would definitely recommend him to everyone!!

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND D2! My fiancé and I are extremely picky and particular, and Darryl met all of our expectations! We spent days researching and comparing different DJs in the area and chose D2 Entertainment.
Darryl was an awesome DJ at our wedding and played songs that kept people dancing all night. He really knew how to keep the vibe going. We gave him a list of songs we wanted played and also requested a few songs throughout the night, and he did a great job at playing what we wanted.
Leading up the wedding, he was so organized and was always available to answer our questions. Darryl ended up providing the up lighting for our wedding as well. He did a great job. He is extremely professional and friendly.
Don’t worry about researching different DJs, because we did it for you! Book D2! :)

Best DJ I've ever met! He was so kind and patient with my questions and concerns before the wedding. and wedding night he was so fun! He made all the announcements and kept me on track when i forgot things. He was able to read the crowd and play music that got them on their feet. Honestly just an all around great guy. Darryl paid a lot of attention to detail and we appreciated that at our wedding. He took time to talk with us before the big day so we were all on the same page about schedules, type of music etc, and was also really good about improvising on the spot. My husband and I loved having Darryl DJ our ceremony and reception. He made sure everything was the way we asked and was so adaptable and accommodating during the process. The day of the event he just wanted to make sure we were happy and having fun. We had a jam packed reception but he kept us on schedule and all the guests commented on how much fun they had dancing! As my job calls for special events I would book him again and recommend him to any couple getting married!
We were also excited to book him because as we were venue shopping and asking around about DJs he was always highly recommended by venues!

Darryl is THE Best! Our wedding was a destination so we booked based on reviews but after our first call we knew we needed to book D2. Darryl, was adamant on making our wedding the best possible and was willing to help in anyway. He explained the full process on the phone last year and was responsive via email/calls/texts until our wedding day. We met in person once to discuss reception timeline when we were in town and he assured us he would coordinate everything to our liking and time it based on the flow the day of. We were a little behind on the reception due to the 2nd line detour because of road closures. But he made our reception effortless and got through all speeches in a coordinated fashion with food courses. The music we selected he integrated in with some of his own playlist and kept the dance floor packed. So much so, we didn't get as much use out of the photo-booth he set up! But what we did get from the photo-booth was great and well worth it. I wish I could leave more stars and give a million more examples of how he went above and beyond and enhanced our wedding. Darryl was absolutely fantastic!!

I would honestly leave more stars if I could.

The only complaint I had from guests were "we didn't get to eat that much at the reception because the DJ was so good, I just kept dancing!".

Darryl has been an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding reception. We were a destination couple (which had it's own challenges with selecting vendors) from Connecticut and he has been so flexible and continuously made himself available for any question we had. He was also open to online video-chats since we could not meet in person which definitely made the process a lot smoother and in kind made us feel more comfortable.

His online portal was very user-friendly and had an extensive music library; on top of being open to any special song request that he did not have beforehand. My husband and I had quite the variety of music genres on our music request and he nailed it.

He also was very interactive with our guests and timed all events perfectly. We were continuously saying "we're not doing the traditional wedding" which he replied that there is no "traditional" anymore and every couple/wedding is different. The fact that he is able to maneuver around various requests and still put on a great performance with the bride, groom and their guests in mind speaks volumes. I would highly recommend Darryl and D2 Entertainment for your wedding reception!

Darryl was simply amazing. He tailored the music around our requests and kept the dance floor packed for the ENTIRE reception! The feedback from our guests was overwhelmingly positive, and that our reception was one of the best they had ever been to!
There was a lot of contact prior to the wedding, ensuring we were all on the same page with every detail. From the load-in before the ceremony until the last dance, Darryl was on top of it all. D2 is full service, and also provided the photo booth and up-lighting (that was less expensive than the up-lighting we could have gotten from the venue) for our reception. All of the additional services were provided seamlessly. Additionally, knowing he had back-up gear on hand, we were confident there would be no surprises, and there weren't.
Overall, I can't say enough about Darryl and D2 Entertainment!! Our wedding reception was truly A Night to Remember!!

I would definitely recommend D2 entertainment! They went above and beyond to make sure they were on time, and they had a separate microphone system set up for the ceremony. We also had a photo booth and it was so much fun! The pictures were readily available online the next day. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Darryl was great! We literally didn’t have to worry about a thing. He had everything ready to go and paced out everything really nicely. I’m a musician so I’m very conscious of how the crowd is feeling and make sure the mood is right. And he totally nailed it! My friends and family were dancing the whole time! We also gave him one frank Sinatra song to play for the money dance, and it ended up taking a lot longer than we thought, and he just kept cranking out the Sinatra tunes! The vibe was perfect. Darryl was great! He made the entire process stress-free from day one. I was able to choose the songs I wanted beforehand online, which was very convenient. We had our wedding out of state so were unable to meet with him beforehand to discuss details, but Darryl was nice enough to Skype with us and assure us that he had everything taken care of! He was very accommodating and even came to our rehearsal upon request last minute to make sure he had all of my images for the slideshow. I would 100% recommend Darryl for any wedding or event!

We contacted many DJs in the greater New Orleans area, and one that immediately stood out to us was Darryl at D2 Entertainment. He was quick to respond to our calls and texts, had great knowledge of the industry, was incredibly personable, and seemed like a fun person. We looked up his reviews on all of the websites (theknot, weddingwire, perfect wedding guide, Facebook, etc). Not only does he have 5-stars everywhere, but the reviews that people leave for him are thought out and outstanding — which I think points back to how great a job Darryl does for his clients.

Once we put our deposit down Darryl set us up with an easy to use client portal where we were able to list the songs we wanted to be played throughout the ceremony and reception portions of our wedding. We were able to add songs to a “must play” list he had and we were able to add songs to a “definitely do not play” list. The portal made things incredibly easy for us, and ensured we would have a good time during the reception.

From the time we retained Darryl’s services, he was basically available whenever we needed to discuss things. Honestly, he would respond to text messages within a few minutes no matter the time of day. He even came out to the French Quarter to meet us a year before our wedding date when we were in town to meet some other vendors. It’s always a pleasure to work with someone as responsive as Darryl. A few days before our wedding he setup a conference call with us to go over the specifics of the wedding one more time to make sure he had everything in order.

Once the day came Darryl was awesome. He was at our venue a few hours before the ceremony setting things up. He coordinated everything with the venue himself, so he didn’t need to bother us with anything — which allowed my wife and I to focus on the things we needed to focus on.

Darryl had the right music going during the ceremony and kicked us off to the reception in style. Once we got into the reception room he had his setup ready to go and he got the party started. Darryl played us all the hits we requested and there never seemed to be a dull moment during the reception. He was great at reading the crowed to see what people wanted played and he gave the people what they wanted — a great time!

We highly recommend D2 Entertainment for your wedding or event.

Darryl was AMAZING! We had a small destination wedding of 25 people on the Steamboat Natchez, so I wasn’t sure if I should book a DJ or not, but I am so glad I did! He took care of EVERYTHING, let me set up a playlist and took requests, he went completely out of his way to make our night perfect! All the guests loved him! I never had trouble getting ahold of him and he was right there for any questions we had! Best DJ ever!

We are so lucky we found Darryl/D2 Entertainment. He came highly recommended by our photographer and we were not disappointed. He was very responsive and reliable from the very beginning. He offered up a lot of help since we were an out of state couple - he even set up a video meeting with us! He came to the rehearsal to double check everything and arrived early the day of the wedding. We threw him a curve ball asking for a Grand March, but he handled it great and it went really well! Such a fun night!

This man went over the moon and back to make my wedding everything and more! The online web portal to load all my music was the easiest process throughout my wedding. I've seen other portals. Darryl's helped you line up everything and remind you of things too that you might had left out, if it weren't for him. The speaker systems were on point! I had 2 neighboring restaurants on either side of my venue with their bands blasting at the loudest possible volume setting (Of course, right). With that in mind, I could still only hear our music as I walked down the isle and I'm not sure how he pulled that off. The lighting he set up was amazing! The up lighting on trees and underneath high boy tables looked phenomenal! I couldn't have asked for a better experience with this DJ. I would and will recommend him highly for any occasion and venue. I hope to use him again in the future! Thanks again, Darryl!

Hi Darryl, sorry it's taken so long to do a review!

The DJ services were top notch. I shopped a few places before signing up with Darryl and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. He took time to meet with us before the wedding, the internet portal was very easy to navigate and made it fun to choose songs, he has a huge selection of music and could get you just about anything. What I enjoyed most was that he was there early to set up, thought of everything we might need, and was flexible during the day. He and his son are professional and have fun personalities! The most important thing was that he was responsive...really accommodating, helpful, and welcoming to us from out of town...he responded within a few hours whether it was phone or email. We had Filipino food, names, and traditions, and he took it all in stride. Felt like Darryl really cared about making sure we all had a great experience.

Darryl was an awesome DJ. We met a couple of times before the wedding and it was great getting to know him! He came up to our venue a day early and checked out the space and got his bearings since the wedding was at a private residence. It was great to see how much he cared about our big day. He brought his high school aged son to help out and he was very professional. On the day of the wedding he was set up and ready to go well before our decorations were even all up. He was cool under pressure when he realized I never sent him a definitive timeline... he only had the timeline we had made at one of our earlier meetings! During the ceremony he came and found me to check and confirm times for things like cake, bouquet toss etc. He got so many compliments from our friends and family about how he kept the party going. Everybody had so much fun. He was able to get everybody moving and he even threw in a song that I mentioned in my vows. It showed how much attention he was paying! D2 Entertainment performed the music at my December 10th wedding. I have to say that everything from the initial meeting to before the wedding to discuss the music and aspects of the night, to the actual music the night of, was exceptional! My (now) husband and I had the best night of our lives, thanks in part to D2!

As a manager of a business, I use D2 Entertainment every week. It's been years now. Every single week Darryl shows up and my customers come out just to see him. He is very professional, outgoing and an asset to the business. I would highly recommend D2 Entertainment to anyone for any type of function. D2 Entertainment provided music and a Photo Booth for our reception. Darryl arranged an amazing Photo Booth that entertained our guests all night long and served to provide us with some memorable photos of the evening. The music was spot on and every time I looked to the dance floor there was someone having a great time. Darryl was very responsive before and after the wedding making sure that he had everything he needed set before the big day to ensure that everything ran smoothly and providing us our Photo Booth pictures quickly after the wedding was over. I would highly recommend his services.

Darryl was incredibly helpful. I gave him a detailed plan of how I wanted everything to happen on my wedding day and he followed it and checked up on me periodically throughout the event to make sure everything was going how I wanted. I highly recommend to anyone!

I would like to make note that we do not live locally so we came in from out of town and I was nervous about all of our vendors because I found all of them online, but I was very pleased with his service and felt very comfortable. There were also some services we didn't need so he worked with us on that. Could not have been happier!

If you want a DJ who is RESPONSIVE and ACCOMMODATING, then Darryl is your man. He was far and away the most professional, courteous, and flexible VENDOR in our entire wedding. He was a fantastic DJ, he adhered to every one of my requests, and almost just as importantly, my do not play requests! He was IMMEDIATELY responsive to every phone call, email, or text. He showed up hours early, and did not leave until his job was done. I cannot say enough about how happy he made us about choosing him as our DJ. He also provided a fun photo booth and beautiful uplighting. I could tell he was the right choice from the very first phone call with him because he has the customer service skills I wish all wedding vendors had. Darryl is forever golden in my book based on how he came through at our wedding!!!

Excellent service. Great music stayed in line with our requests. We are very happy to use D-2 entertainments if given the opportunity to throw another party we would use them.
